Testimonials
Here are a few of the testimonials we've received over the years:
Pahrump NV
The Town of Pahrump, Nevada (pop. 30,000) is a rural desert bedroom community, about one hour west of Las Vegas. They had spent large sums of money to no avail trying to attract business to their town in order to create jobs and raise their relatively poor standard of living.
We helped them create a value proposition extolling the benefits of moving to Pahrump. We then sent these letters to over 8,000 manufacturing companies in southern California.
Their thank you letter read in part: "I want to take this opportunity to thank you for assisting the Town of Pahrump’s economic development efforts. To my amazement is the very real interest of California businesses in locating to Pahrump as a result of the direct mail campaign. My 20 years of experience in local government has made me very skeptical of the consultants who practice the science of such things. However, you have made me a believer. If you recall we received approximately 70 responses to our first mailing! Of those 70, we are currently entertaining the prospect of re-locating three (3) viable businesses from California to Pahrump. I am very pleased at the prospect of reporting to my Board that we have been successful in creating jobs and increasing the tax base in Pahrump. I am looking forward to much more success with your help. Well done, again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Sincerely, David R., Town Manager

"Hi Mark. I just got another call from the CEO of a $464M international company and once again the letter and website did their jobs. Our first discussion was about 15-20 minutes with him repeating back several items from my info. This is unlike in the past where the discussions were always more exploratory – rather, they seemed to have confidence in my value and jumped right into discussions on how to make it happen for them. I know the process was longer and more detailed than I expected, and the editing sessions were brutal, but the results speak for themselves. I am now in the third week since my mail drop and the calls and emails still keep coming in. They started the Monday after my Friday mail drop and have been steady ever since. Things are still popping. I just got an email from a $2 billion healthcare company for a phone interview with the head of their Global Talent Acquisition at the request of the CEO. The results have been great and looking good. As a result of your coaching and packaging, I even got a personal note from Xxxx, the CEO of [$XX Billion company], in response to the letter, and my package is currently making the rounds there. Once again – thanks!" Don M., VP of Marketing

"When you first told me how much work was involved with a value proposition letter, I thought 'yea, right, it can't be that hard.' And then, OMG, after being through it with you, you were right. There's no way to explain this to others until they've been through it." Steve N., CEO

"Mark's a great guy and I respect him a lot--I love that he has stats for what is a tough sell--gives my clients confidence that he is the real deal and not a rip off. His mind is a steel trap! And he's an ethical player in a problematic field. Will spend hours and hours with a client getting the details of the list just right. He's one of the good guys and you can trust him." Don D., CEO
"I wish I had known of Mark Hovind's existence sooner as his business model is unique. More importantly Mark's professionalism and client attention is exceptional. His creative attention to detail, based on years of experience in the business, is both invaluable and necessary, and he doesn't let you off the hook as he knows what is required to succeed." Consultant
A $300k+ CEO who was also an attorney, wanted to branch out on his own and start a consulting business. We helped him target several thousand niche businesses and offer his services in M&A and restructuring.
His thank you note read in part: "I am still getting new calls and emails periodically including one from the Chairman of a public Alternative Energy Company. He called after reading the letter (he has been traveling). Within the first four weeks I had accepted two paying clients and had about a dozen active opportunities. I am still considering another six client proposals. So far my income is above target." Jim C., CEO
Textile manufacturing
A $500k+ Textile CEO in Charlotte NC was in an industry that was declining fast. We changed his value proposition to minimize textiles and leverage his experience in acquisitions and turnarounds. He targeted several thousand local companies outside of textiles and received 17 calls, 8 long phone interviews and 6 follow-up interviews ... all within 9 weeks.
He turned down 2 job offers and accepted a third that offered ownership. His thank you note read in part: "Six years ago the retained recruiters found my new job. This time it was the direct mail - a numbers game. Only 1/2% had any interest but those 1/2% really needed someone at that time. Thanks for all your help along the way." Don C., CEO
